About Matt Chow

Matt Chow is a California-based writer who received his MFA in fiction at the NYU Creative Writing Program. He started writing at the age of eight and has drawn much of his inspiration from anime and manga as well as English literature.

He has written all across the genre spectrum in the twenty-four years since he’s started, but now prefers fantasy, horror, and science fiction. Most of the time, you’ll find Matt watching anime, reading manga, or staring off into space trying to divine the logistical minutia of the fantasy or science fiction universes he’s created in his mind, but on an off-day he can be found writing stories about those universes.

Mission Statement

I have been writing for over twenty years and now, more than anything, want a singular place where people can come and have easy access to my writing. I have been very protective of my work, but know that putting myself out there and letting others interact with my writing will make me a better writer. So, with these two goals in mind, I plan to post one short story every couple months here. Please follow my social media for updates and announcements. I sincerely hope that you enjoy my work.
